It is a famous song by Japanese singer-songwriter Yo Hitoto. The song was released on the eve of Valentine's Day 2004 as the title track of Yo Hitoto’s fifth single album. It was widely loved and It spent 125 weeks at the top of the ORICON singles chart and still has a top karaoke spot.

Yo Hitoto's composition was prompted by the 9/11 terrorist attacks and a letter from a friend in New York.
